    What does RIP mean???

if it means “rest in peace” you definitely earned it.

if it means “ rip you a new one” you also earned it”

Your call, no pun intended :)

  2. No. They can, but the bot would simply send exercise instructions when the div exceeds extrinsic at the bid. Critical thinking. You think Optiver, Jane St and Citadel have grads with HP calculators doing the junior high math?

The answer is simple; you just don't get it.

Do you want to know something about options? Or, should this thread be moved to philosophy?

Engineer Claims AI Chatbot Is Sentient (full article)

Believe what you want... but I contend that there is still a human wizard behind every curtain.

Edit: oops, no philosophy section. my bad

  4. He had a thread on here whining about getting assigned early on his CCs. It was breathtaking.

Professionals will exercise options early when certain conditions are met. It doesn't really matter if they automate the process to do this. When these conditions are met, you should expect to be assigned early. When you say you have seen them come at "different days and hours" the assignment process occurs after hours only.

    Calls should be exercised early,
When the dividend is more than the corresponding put and any cost of carry of the stock.

When the stock is hard to borrow, depending on the short rate. In this case you will see the calls trading with no extrinsic value

So what you are saying is over 99.9% of early assignments are made from human designed (preset) algorithms...That are not modified daily.

    Yes??

    Thank you...
