I had technicolor nightmares after the trans-fat feast and will thus be returning to my walk down memory lane. Before leaving please allow me to clear up any mess I might have created during the PA/PV discussion. 1. PA does NOT require 3 bars. Two will suffice. Pace must accelerate. Pace acceleration ONLY occurs during dominant movements. 2. PV does require 3 bars. The Gaussian slope MUST accelerate. PV occurs all over the place. Points 1 and 2 are how I see things at present and are not irrevocably cast in stone. Anything else that I said about PA/PV is speculation and should be treated as such. lj The timing of my posts in relation to Spyder's are what Carl Jung used to call 'synchronicity' - temporally coincident occurences of acausal events.
PA is just words to describe an event and facilitate learning. Move beyond words to understanding what the market is saying. This will be likely be impossible without a properly annotated chart.
Thank you for responding. I see three possibilities for 1110 bar: (1) an event which is described as PA, (2) NOT an event which is described as PA, (3) another type of event, which looks like what is described as PA, however the differences exist in context which tells one not to expect what must come next if this was in fact PA. (3) seems more likely based on what developed.
I see one. How did I get there? What work did I have to do to build my mind to know where I am in the market?
So how is this defined? During a dominant movement: Bar 1 volume = 20000 Bar 2 volume = 20001 Is this a pace acceleration?
Well, I am practicing annotations based on Spydertrader's advice on monitoring in the attempt to learn the correct method of annotations. Doesn't seem like there's anything else that can be done. As far as the task of differentiation - I can't even approach that without being able to annotate correctly.
Congrats, you can say the correct answer. Your posted charts, however, say otherwise. Let's ask the obvious - do your charts look in anyway as complete as the 'standard' that has been posted for years? If not, then perhaps you have found where additional work is required.
It's always great when something you thought to be so, turns out not to be - like Santa or the Easter bunny. So if my interpretation of what you are saying is correct, then the 3 bar configuration in the attachment (which is the area you referred to as lack of continuation [= change, IMO]), then please enlighten me (no sarcasm here) as to what you believe a 3 bar JW would look like. lj
