Thank you Ehorn for the drills it clearing up some issues.

... could you point to that post? ... or maybe rephrase your concern?
... it seems that Jack says that channels always overlap, so inherently the beginning of the new one, "the reversal", occurs inside the old one ...
EDIT: maybe you're referring to the dominance change that occurs at the RTL crossing ...? but this is after the reversal point ...

  3. Another drill:

Can anyone point out why charts has posted an incorrect assertion?

... if you refer to the fact that traverses and channels may start in laterals ... those laterals are horizontal "channels" ... this is just semantics
... it is also part of the difference between the way Jack and you draw channels ...
EDIT: or this is one part of the monitoring I've gotten wrong ... hopefully so ... :)

"Retraces precede reversals. Retraces are non dominant traverses in channels and reversals are dominant traverses in channels. Retraces may occur during channel overlap and reversals may NOT occur during channel overlap. All of these matters make the case for using channels on all fractal levels as an integrating strategy..."

... I see ... "reversal" vs. "Reversal" ... like "peak volume" vs. "Peak Volume" ... "traverse" vs. "Traverse" ... etc.
... I was referring to "reversal" not "Reversal" ... sorry if I confused anybody ... :)

  7. Irrelevent.

My efforts here have nothing to do with semantics, differences in annotation 'style' nor are my comments made in an attempt to change your mindset. (I believe I made that quite clear in a previous post.) However, when someone posts an assertion which represents clearly incorrect information, that information requires a correction.

    ... point taken ... thanks :)
... I didn't think in terms of the 3 Rs: retrace, reversal, retrace, resume ...
EDIT: still I don't understand WG's concern with the last reversal of Friday ...

  9. Assuming the reversal in this context meant mode changing from non-dominance to dominance, the assertion is not correct because the RTL break precedes the change in dominance.

  10. Yes. Keep in mind that when referring to channels, the Traverses form the retraces and the reversals. When referring to Traverses, the Tapes create the retraces and reversals. Extrapolating further, when referring to super channels, the regular channels form the retraces and the reversals of the super-channel.
