Lurker here, taking your advice Spyder.
I am still working with equities, and attempting to follow along here as well. Maybe not the best approach, as I find myself overwhelmed at times.
As things become more refined, the answers given here sometimes add to my confusion about what I think I am beginning to understand.
Here is where I am at in my travels.
Thanks for the assignment and evaluation.
    :)

  4. Don't see a permission to seek change yet in green up traverse. Expecting non-dom followed by another dom traverse. Strange and fascinating at the same time.:)

    Thanks for the drill Spydertrader.

    My best shot.

15:50 - dominant up - incr price on incr vol
    15:55 - non-dom decr vol
16:00 - dominant (now changed to down) increasing volume, no increase in price, absence of continuation equals change , JW
    16:05 - non-dom (drv)
16:10 - non-dom (drv), Gaussian in "trough), look for incr vol to confirm dominance
16:15 - dom (irv and decr price confirms red dom)
9:35 - dom down (ibgs down, incr vol,)
    9:40 - non-dom (incr price,but decr vol)
9:45 - non-dom (incr price, but decr vol)
    9:50 - non-dom( price in lat)
9:55 - dom down (decr price, incr vol)
10:00 - non-dom (vol up, but price doesn't move, time for lateral traverse?)
10:05 - non-dom (vol up but price lateral)
    10:10 - non-dom (lateral movement)
    10:15 - non-dom (ibv, but in lat)
    10:20 - non-dom (lateral movement)

Also an observation which I find interesting. I remember a reply from
Romanus to Spydertrader about what all traverses have in common - the answer - a retrace. What I see here is that the retrace annotated is actually above the original point where dominance changed to down. This was an overnight situation, but I seem to recall this in normal hours as well.

  7. Been switching platforms and brokers and hence lurker mode. Beginning from the left hand edge of the chart snippet, I count 16 bars. D and ND refer to bar dominance on the traverse level.

    Bar 1 = D incrV HH/HL, LMBO
    Bar 2 = D decrV HH/HL, VE
Bar 3 = D/D traverse sequence completed [incrV post LMBO], SFC (JW)to red D
Bar 4 = D looks like ND but what about SFC?
Bar 5 = D looks like ND but what about SFC?
    Bar 6 = D incrV LH/LL
    Bar 7 = D IBGS
    Bar 8 = ND LM
    Bar 9 = ND LM
    Bar 10 = ND LM
    Bar 11 = D confirm point 3, LMBO
Bar 12 = D/D traverse sequence completed [incrV post LMBO], SFC (PkV) to black D
    Bar 13 = D OB C above prior bar L
    Bar 14 = D symP
    Bar 15 = D incrV HH/HL
Bar 16 = D possible move to LM

    Edit: A moment of Doh.
