re a's most recent post to me: This is a quote by me a short time after returning to IR. The comment in blue is not accurate. The last sentence continues to be so. 'Superior' is connatatively understood in the sense espoused by Lao-tse. lj Lunch is over. The boys are back for some Friday PM merriment.
At 10:25 I saw the beginning of lateral movement. 10:30 confirmed this and I annotated it as such. This lateral movement continued beyond10:55 where I saw incr red volume confirm a change in dominant direction and this I annotated as p3. I realise that both the LM and short trav cannot both be correct but at the time I saw both possibilities. That is why both remain on my chart. As I said in a previous post, I suspected an FTT at 10:40 but I could not see a traverse level signal for change on that bar. At the time I saw two possible scenarios: (a) a lateral traverse beginning at 10:20 leading to a new long traverse to form a new long channel or (b) a short traverse beginning at 10:40. If you could explain how you were able to eliminate one of these scenarios then I would be very grateful. Thanks
There is a third. Spydertrader kindly wrote about lateral endings: http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2034014&highlight=kill#post2034014 I have one lateral ending, going short on jokari window traverse level change at 1040, and starting a new lateral at 1035. I don't have a point three down until 1140. I reversed long at 1225 and still holding. Now, can you tell me why I did not go long at 1105 and 1145? How about why 1055 is not a point three?
I am trying to work up a picture you're describing. Is your 10:40 [close of] increasing black closing inside the previous bar range and therefore creating a Jokari Window short? Thanks.
Sorry for the delay, we had a local power outage here 10:40 was IBV w/ close inside previous bars range.
The more mature traders didn't fancy my individualism ...Actually when I switched to TN I just could get the right hue of blue to give me that cool soothing experience
