David this is what I have for this am.

    9:50 - lateral traverse
    10:25 - lateral retrace

Thanks. It would appear that the short trav was the answer. I am just trying to see at what point the LM from 10:20 could be discounted. I suspected an FTT at close of 10:40 (eob) but could not see a traverse level change signal.

  4. I would flip those bi9. From 9:50 to 10:10 we had a lateral retrace (Pt2 to Pt3) and then at 10:20 we began a lateral traverse that had a change of dominance at 10:40 and confirmed at 10:55.

and that's the way I saw it.

  5. FWIW, I did not see a traverse level change signal at 10:35 [QT time] = 10:40 EOB. To be clear I'm not saying that anyone else said they did (or didn't for that matter).

Edit: To be clear, I was typing while guavaman was posting and I agree with him that there has been a change in dominance but not in mode, for a traverse level trader.

If your lateral started at 10:20, what is you signal for change in dominance at 10:40? 10:40 closed outside the boundaries of the 10:20 bar with increasing volume.

10:40 was a dominance change for me becuase I use the 10:25 as the start of my lateral and 10:40 failed to exit that boundary on inc black vol.

Great chart guava, but what happened to the old color scheme? After all the time spent mulling over your old charts I really miss it  .
