Iterative Refinement

  1. No apologies necessary. Thanks for the reply. A bit more light has come in.

I have to admit, though, I'm glad I don't have to take this course to graduate. Just kidding.

    All the best.

  2. This explanation of 'cell' is incorrect here. Please see Spyder's post to bi9foot immediately above. I don't need no Torquemada when I can do it myself.

En passant, periods of very low volume display or presage a random walk condition. Signal to noise ratio is low and trading is dangerous.

  3. You are absolutely correct. One does not need all that I have discussed in order to profit.

  5. In light of recent discussion, today's 10:25 EST (Close of) bar and today's 11:15 EST (Close of) bar appear to represent Jokari Window Traverse-level change. But Price continues up in both instances. How can one avoid interpreting these two bars as Jokari Window Traverse-level change?

I notice that the Volume on both of these bars is lower than at least one bar in the preceding retrace. Based on this observation, is it appropriate to 'see' the 10:25 and 11:15 bars as having decreasing Volume for purposes of Jokari Window analysis? In other words, we don't consider them as having increasing Volume unless the Volume is higher than each of the Volume bars forming the preceding retrace?

    Thanks.

1025 is not TLC and 1115 is.

  7. Here's a straightforward, one line definition:

Price moves in the dominant direction on decreasing Volume or Price Moves in the non- dominant direction (after previously moving dominant) on increasing Volume.

EDIT: 11:15 EST (Close of) - YM shows continuation up at that point in time

    Quiz:

Where is the change signal in the traverse level after the point 3 in the attached chart.

The snip is from yesterday. I want to get a discussion going since I am not exactly sure of the answer. I will post my answer after this post try not to look if you plan on participating.
