You're correct, and Ive tried to get the bottom of questions like these with much staring and failed picture to picture hypothesis. I cant seem to figure it out. Perhaps someone in this forum knows the definitive answer to why that is or isnt considered a traverse on the fractal we are currently in. My only guess was that it was on a different fractal or that it was through using more signals(YM and stuff like that). All I can answer is what i feel confident about. I understood the point lilyoung was making though in regards to a "naked" price bar with increasing volume confirming a pt 3 traverse(the 7/29 case).
I've annotated all of the "traverses" with 1,2,3's. The channels are shown in purple/blue/purple. I see differences in my chart vs some others that are posted. Am I jumping fractals here?
Your teal Point 3 Up gets its RTL broken on decreased red 12:55 eob. Aren't we suppose to fan outward?
blue diamonds = flat. red triange = short, green triange = long. red to green no diamond = reverse. green to red no diamond = reverse.
A benevolent Ninja spirit provided me with a decode for Mr. Black's notations: Looks like Mr. Black's Ninja symbols mean: Red down triangle arrow is the exact price within the bar where Mr. Black entered (or reversed) short. Blue diamond is the exact price within the bar where he got flat. Green up triangle is the exact price within the bar where he entered (or reversed) long. If there is no intermediate blue diamond between a red and a green triangle, then it is a reverse trade. lj
I have it B/O on bar 43 of the lateral formation that begins on bar 39, and did not fan. This I am not sure as correct to do, but have done so a few times recently. I will take any feedback regarding this.
Thanks nkhoi. You guys must belong to the same club. Another explanation is that this is standard notation which only a newb wouldn't know. Oh well. Now I do. lj
