Never mind that question. It's way too early for me to concern myself with signals. Have to remind myself not to wander off. Old habits die hard. Need to pass the 'M' part first. EDIT: Oops, I see some comments. Food for future thought.
Thanks Spyder! EDIT: My head is melting on the 15:15 bar a bit though. Surely this is confirmation... Why not 14:45? Is this considered an "Intra-fractal" change? I am definitely missing a key concept in here somewhere...
I have 9 traverses and 1 channel. I feel like there could be another channel or two short there but they the one I'm thinking of wouldn't widen the traverses that contain it
Numbers 1 and 2 are the same Traverse. Numbers 3 and 4 also represent the same Traverse. Note how you 'fan in' to accelerate, then, the market 'fans out' from the 'fanned in' Traverse back to the Original Traverse. Number 8 isn't a Traverse, as it has no beginning on the Traverse Fractal. In addition, you should have another channel (down, 11:05 Point One, 13:50 Point Three) - fanned out to 14:45. By my count, that makes 6 traverses and 2 channels. All times Eastern and close of ES Bars. - Spydertrader Edit: You really need to correct your bar coloration (both Price and Volume), as well as annotate gaussians along with your trend lines. Failure to do so sets you up to miss a critical component of monitoring.
Because the market told you to hold for a spell at 14:40. As such, you have a tape level change only at 14:45 (FTT of a tape). With 15:15 as your signal for change, 15:20 becomes a Point One. Start by noting how this example of Lateral Movement differs from all others on the day. ....... Subtle differences ......... - Spydertrader
Right on! I will review this portion (PV and formation) with ES and YM this evening. Got some things to sort out (and could be why I am showing up early to the game sometimes) Thanks for keeping us swinging at strike-zone pitches Have a great evening.
Ok, ok, I went and had a smoke and thought it through a bit (your hint about the LM was all it took) Lets try this... While the IBGS (14:45) was change signal (tape level as you confirm). As the LM takes shape (inside the current channel), the market tells us to hold, as it was possible (at that time) for an acceleration in the current dominant traverse to occur. But 15:15 told us that it was not so. I certainly like the way that sounds. Now the question, is my logic correct?
Close enough for government work. While the full details might shed some additional light on the subject, your broad strokes have you in the right place. - Spydertrader
