Gucci, I appreciate your posting of the tapes diagram. It is very helpful. I have one question though, because I do not see them on there, how do you handle Outside Bars with regards to tapes?
What you see as Point Three Confirmation, started by breaking a Traverse Right Trend line on decreasing red Volume (what does such an event tell us to expect?), and finished by breaking out of a Pennant on increasing red Volume, but failed to provide more increasing red Volume after the BO. Just because one sees increasing Volume does not automatically make for a Point Three. I encourage you to actaully read information posted to this journal - as the above question has been answered. In fact you re-posted the example. - Spydertrader
Thank you for the answer to my first qeustion. Also, I dont mean to go over anyones head.... I just cant get from Jacks hand written notes any definitive answer to this, especially since the way I see some people annotate tapes with regards to OBs and certain other bars seems in my mind to contradict what I'm reading in Jacks notes. As I said before I'm reading it as simply use an OB as bar 1 of your tape and start over but I feel like I'm seeing otherwise on some annotated charts.
Todays Chart (hindsight) A couple of traverses annotated that shouldnt have been. Take note that increasing volume does not mandate a pt3...
Maybe you could link to where you noted the above quote in order to insure you haven't translated that which needed transfered. - Spydertrader
Sypder, Any reason for the annotations 'boxing' the formations on this chart, compared to past charts where it is shaped to the formation? Edit: My guess is to possibly show break of H or L of first bar forming the formation?
ES Daily Chart July 22 2008. Last set of red recycled trendlines have to be removed. Posting chart to get it up for tonight. Upgraded the version of charting I am using and all trendlines on daily were erased. I will do the chart over this week and have it posted soon.
What Polford shows is the example of what Im seeing in some annotations and what Im reading is in the attachment posted(circled) and reiterated in jack's hand written notes
