This is a peak inside the 5 minute ES bars for July 18. 5 minute bars are white and numbered over 1 minute bars. Over the weekend I will post sections of the entire day. EDIT: Colors used for trendlines will match Spyder's chart posted for ES today.
What kinds of drills? All kinds of drills (I am partial to imagination drills) Grab some paper (or a computer drawing program) and draw some lines which simulate price movement. Then imagine and draw what the gaussians might look like to produce those lines. Do the reverse. Draw some gaussians and imagine what price might look like given the volume patterns drawn. Grab some old charts and do the crayola exercise. This is a suprisingly powerful drill. Draw channels (w/o) price and imagine how price might fill the channels then add the volume required to move price. Study Jacks latest seeds. Add volume and see how it might affect where price would move to next. Print out a chart and cover up the future bars and perform ADA bar-by-bar. Stimulate your mind in varying ways related to the principles of the methodology. Make it fun. It should be fun, not labor. When it feels like labor, that is the mind saying time for a break.
This is powerful. It is what Spydertrader has been saying for so long - 'it is binary'. One must come to this point of understanding of the market. Thank you Mr. Hershey for your generosity.
Not many responses to my question serveral pages earlier, why is that ? Clym is using volume to determine the channels, is there some flaw in what is shown in Clym's youtube video that I am not aware of ? If so please spell it out Why would anyone bother to manually annotate if there is a possibility that it can be done by automation perfectly ? Isn't that part of the purpose of this thread, iterative refinement ? So why can't the people who understand Jack Hersheys method put effort in releasing source code in Excel and 'pay it forward' ? Since they have already spent so much effort in discussing the method and obviously have an interest in helping people to understand it Remember, I am not saying don't manually annotate, I am saying it would be a great addition to the method and you can still practise manual annotation, come on guys someone must be an Excel guru and willing to write up and publish the source code ?
I will finish inside the 5 minute bar chart as day passes. Inside the tapes is the same chart just posted for inside the 5 minute bars, but tapes added to those screenshots. The tape colors have been taken out of Spyders chart for comparisond, to see inside the tapes. Chart #1 inside the tape.
