Iterative Refinement

  1. Thank you very much! Btw, was I on the right track with 'what wasn't that' for the last three bars of yesterday.

  2. Here is page 4 which is a price shart that is regionalized. I suggest in the notations on page 4 that you can move the vertical red line to the left to be right where or next to the forming bar.

By putting in these regions and looking at the cases we can extablish how MADA is operating as moments pass and how our minds are flowing the MADA.

Here you see we are building up from cases to channels to more channel envelopes. The point is to understand in doing MADA that you build through the mind's differentiations in the smallest locations to get more locations coordinated and make multiple use of stored valuable memory.

In reading it is simple because three locations cover the bases. Suppose a person is deaf or blind; who cars reading is going to be part of their life function. People who teach blind people are blinded (mechanically) for over a week (24/7) when these people have their blinders removed they are screwed up for a few hours since in the week before they rearranged their minds to operate as a blind person would.

Parts of the mind can operate to do one set of tasks or they can be assigned another set of tasks. All the time the mind is multitasking anyway.

We will find out how long it takes to get in gear. you see above that in a week a teacher of the blind can be converted to a blind person in his mind's operation so that training to teach can be done.

I( have found out I can repost pics in text by using a short cut. I will keep a pic up when I type so you can see it as an easy reference.

notice I haven't said very much as yet but I do have the ingredients showing up for consideration.

Thanks for posting your chart Spyder!

Here is a blank one for anyone (tc8) who wants to work up static annotations for the day.

Or as the Drill Sargent might say...

"DROP AND GIVE ME 20!" :D

  4. Thank you for posting this chart ! :)

I notice all lateral movements and lateral formations have been removed and tapes are in place.
The only lateral is a "ccc" based on the volume.
edit: It is also a pt 2 to pt 3 lateral.

Is this where we should be placing our emphasis on ?

    Thanks for feedback.

  5. Oddly enough, I provided the answer before you asked the question. :)

  6. I've been pondering this, too. I notice that the dominant black Volume between 10-11 EST never reached the level of the dominant red volume between 9:30-10:00 EST. Perhaps there just wasn't enough black Volume to build a Channel before red reasserted dominance.

  7. As you witnessed my :D attempt to illustrate channel construction throughout today, please note following corrections:
    1. The first Blue Point Three Up that was illustrated as a channel is not a channel at all. It's a traverse. After seeing an accelerated green traverse developed inside it, I mistakenly annotated Blue Point Three as a channel based on the perception that it 'widened'. The first Blue Point Three fails to meet the definition of channel: Dominant Point Three Traverse followed by Non-Dominant Point Three Traverse, followed by BO of the Non-Dominant Point Three Traverse RTL.
    2. The above definition of the channel has one exception - the rocket that widens a traverse to such a size, that one can expect it to behave as a channel (i.e. the price will start moving in traverses within it). From a few occasions the 'rocketing' has been mentioned I would attempt to describe it as advancing in one direction showing retrace only in the form of improving price on slower pace. EDIT: The last blue traverse of the day could be an example.
    3. The second Point Three Down (pink on Spydertrader's chart) illustrated as a maroon down channel is also :( not a channel. It's a traverse and my attempt to show an acceleration in it by drawing a red pt3 formation, which I mistakenly identified as a traverse does not provide any useful information. The same goes for the pink pt3 formation drawn in it.
    4. The rest of the items that need correction require an advanced:D pondering and investigation
      [/list=1]
Still can't see any particular order in which things are happening. Can't believe how difficult this stuff is! Working on this without any positive reinforcement for a prolong period of time can really mess up one's EQ. :D Can't let that happen. Going to grab Mr. Black charts and see if something can be done to replicate what he's doing.

EDIT: the first VE 1055 eob of the first Blue Point Three Traverse could have ended it just as likely as the second one 1120 eob, as it seems to me right now. The same goes for the pink Point Three Down Traverse:mad:

  8. I should have caught up with the thread before responding to your post. Your reply leads me to believe that I'm behind on the discussion. For clarity, I was just looking for clues that we wouldn't get an up Channel this morning. Although we have to take into account the fact that Volume is generally higher at the open than an hour later, we still have to consider that Volume levels during the up Traverse were significantly lower than those during the previous down Traverse. Perhaps that was a clue that we wouldn't see an up Channel.

See Spydertrader's morning chart for 7-9-08 for a similar situation:

ftt of a tape cant end a traverse can it? Shouldnt you be waiting on a down tape/lateral to form a pt3 before looking for an ftt?

    Hi Romanus,

It takes time for the principles to become ingrained in the mind. How does one accelerate the learning?

Drills and Breaks, Drills and Breaks... plain and simple...

With each platueau being blasted through (in time - like building up a physique). The student is fed a well balanced diet (the market), and performs the routine and the reps (MADA). and get plenty of rest in between (breaks).

A student of these techniques simply does what he/she is asked to do (MADA) and allows the mind to absorb what it is being repetitively asked to do.

I am not trying to sound insulting (and I believe Jack and Spyder would agree) when I say there is not any amount of mental gymnastics required to apply the method. What is asked for (at first) is that the student understand how to correctly monitor the market. Once this becomes so engrained that the student feels like they are falling asleep doing it (correctly), then they are ready to begin the examination of (ADA). And you will find out that all those lines being drawn were already building pathways to ADA all along (quietly though).

    (M) is clearly the longest path of the 4. Wanna know why? Because none of us does what we are asked to do. We think after a short period that we have mastered M.

    Here is a generic exchange:

I am ready to move on. I know how to annotate a chart (M), what is next?
No, you do not. If you did you would NEVER be asking these questions.

It is the number 1 reason we have developmental delays. It is no wonder Spyder says, that there is MUCH more happening when we draw lines. Our mind is building the sequences of ADA. Unconsciously at first, then lights and aha's and AHA's start going off.

As AVI said a while back to another poster, You will know it!. There is no mistaking it. Again, I share nothing new here that has not already been repeated MANY, MANY times.

From my experience, this IS the way it is (there is no secret path to enlightment). Hang in there and keep at it. Make it part of your routine. It does not have to be total 100% all out every day. Just settle in, sit back, and do the work and enjoy the journey. It will come.

Drills and Breaks my friend, Drills and Breaks...
