In a recent post, Spyder said if you are trading at the Forest level, you should have made no more than X trades and scored X pts on that day.
(I can't locate the post... maybe someone can.)

  2. To Tums and Avi8,

Thank you for your relpies. I need to go look up exactly what those specifications are. In the mean time, let you ask you this...

I have about 3 or 4 nagging questions (down from about 100, so major progress :) ) that really fit more into A than M. I take it that your suggestion would be to just drop trying to figure out the answer to those questions until I've had this mysterious aha moment that I'll know when it happens? This is a serious question and I always appreciate your willingness to particapate.

I don't recall anyone mentioning not to ask questions. But, the answers may already be in front of you.

Thank you Tums. I've found it. I just thought, that washes help taking away the fear by showing the trader that his losers will be negligibly small when compared to the winners. But I must be missing something.

If you review Spyder's recent posts (say 2 months?)... he has been repeatedly pounding on the importance of MADA, with the specific emphasis on the need to do a good job on M.

  6. Indeed, and I am wanting to comply with your suggestion that M is 100% complete BEFORE moving on. I got the impression from your post that I should review exactly what Spydertrader has said monitoring encompasses and what the metric is for moving forward. Did I miss your point?

Avi8.... no one has said not to ask questions. I have been hesitant about asking on a couple items that have been discussed before, and then seemingly dropped without coming to a conclusion. One of these was regarding the bit DKM started about when the jokari window appears to fail. I've been studying the posts related and after many many hours of trying to look for a meaning behind Spydertrader's hint, I am still at a loss as to how to comprehend when to expect the window to fail and when not. I suspect DKM finds himself in the same place.

  7. My friend, who's responsibility is it to make sure they have a sufficient answer to their own question?

This has always been Spyder's explicit instructions to everybody.

I use the search button a lot... ALL the answers are in last year's Futures Journal. And many are answered again in this thread.

At the same time, I want to offer this observation:
Spyder repeated many times... "what I am describing below uses only 5m ES...". Sometimes he would add.. "and 2m YM...".

i.e. This method is simple. The tools and analysis is simple. We are the ones who make it complicated and difficult.
We try to analyze things that are not there (Bundle comes to mind), or we invent analysis that are irrelevant, not applicable, or leading to the rabbit hole. (note when Spyder says "put aside what you think you know".)

If you found yourself stuck... backtrack a bit (to M) might help you locate your orientation again.
