lj, I am not sure what you are talking about. - There was no FBP with bar 1 & 2 today - Bar 3 is not LH & LL. My previous post has the first 4 bars for the day. You might want to post a chart so that we see what you are referring to.
chart for today. +26 points and made some mistakes. I noticed the 15:10 FTT very late and did some reversal before that trying to catch the point 3 up... regards, Ivo
Ivo, are you making this decision before the bar closes? Because sometimes the bar can run back higher right before the close.
Hello, in this case yes before the close. I clearly saw the bar trying to break the tape and then falling back. The high of the bar would be my stop or even RTL. regards, Ivo
Thanks for your interest bi9. I'm referring to the snippet in dkm's post on this page: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=113310&perpage=6&pagenumber=61 and to Spyder's response on this page:http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=113310&perpage=6&pagenumber=62. What I have called bar#3 is the 13th bar from the left-hand side of the snippet. As an aside what software did you use to draw the pennants, formations and movements in our discussion the other night? I don't have anything (or possibly don't know how to use something that I have) to permit me to do this and I thought it would be nice to have comparable drawings for FBP's and FTP's. lj
I didn't even realize how violent the crash was today... I was just trading in my spare moments between classes (first day of semester) and eked out 12 or so points. Then I read that the market dropped 60 (!) and wished I had had today off!
This is a lightly annotated chart of the DJIA. It is a weekly chart. Level marked is nothing more than a support area if price continued.
Got it. Snag It Someone posted a link in the Hershey software thread to download a previous version (ver 7) for free. EDIT. Here it is: http://tinyurl.com/yw9d8k
