Iterative Refinement

  1. R/R,

When you have a moment could explain what you mean by "... completes in phase". I see clearly the ff nature of your construct but am not clear about the "phase" thingy. In other words, in phase with what and what is the particular significance of this with respect to innersky's query?

    TIA

for the orange fractal in my snippet to complete it's sequence, the subfractals must also complete at the same time - in other words "in phase". So this was further evidence that the down traverse had completed.

  3. That's most clarifying R/R and if I'm not mistaken could be seen as a variation on the theme of "a traverse ftt must have a tape ftt associated with it." Very helpful.

Edit: The above statement I'm sure of and let me remove and rethink the comment about this not being a standard traverse.

Hi R/R, Ijyoung, nkhoi and Neoxx and anybody who is interested in PV.

I have problem understanding the April 1 / 14:55 (close of) bar. The bar on Incresing Black Volume in the non-dominant direction. Normally, a black bar on decreasing volume is expected for retrace in a up traverse. Could someone give me an answer?

Also, I noticed that pt2 & pt3 of the orange down traverse are inside the turquoise up traverse; and, pt 2 & pt 3 of the green up traverse are inside the orange down traverse. Do we have 5-min-ES traverse or Faster Fractal traverse? TIA !

It happens. There are several times you'd typically see something like this, pennant BO, RTL BO, or spike. Other times are more rare. In this case, well, it happens.

If the pt2 is inside the prior traverse it's a pt 2, not thee pt2. As far as the point three being inside maybe someone else can speak to that. I don't necessarily see a problem with it but can't say for certain. I'd suggest pulling up a bunch of Spyder's charts. - EZ

    You're correct. Normally.

Sometimes, what begins as one thing, ends as another.
