Imagine, for a moment, all the vocabulary words you know with respect to the Price - Volume Relationship. The acronyms alone could fill a library (Hitch, Dip, Stall, Stitch, FTP, FBP, Sym, Pace Acceleration, Peak Volume, doninant, non-dominant, etc. etc, etc. ad infinitum). Now, imagine a world where the trader never utters the acronyms listed above, never thinks in terms of vocabulary words during the M-A-D-A process, never even considers the applications of the Jokari Window. What?!?!? .... you might even say WTF!! The world (I have described above) exists just outside most people's grasp, and exists on everyone's current path, just beyond where my participation in this thread waned. For just over two years, the futures threads allowed the learning trader to mentally create plateaus of knowledge as their individual knowledge, skills and experience with the Price - Volume Relationship grew. For example, many can recall the sheer frustration, experienced by many, with respect to the difficulty involved differentiating between the various 'flaws' created by the market throughout the trading day. Although I (on more than one occassion) advised not worrying too heavily upon this topic, and that in time, things would become, much, much clearer, people insisted, and continued to dwell on Hitches, Dips and Stalls. Once October 2007 arrived, and I discussed 'Flaws and Formations', what once appeared complicated appeared to fade into the background - and no longer caused such high levels of stress. What changed? Nothing at all. The trader simply reached one of those 'plateaus of knowledge' and that which once appeared muddled, suddenly appeared crystal clear. With respect to Lateral Movement and Lateral Formations and WMCN with respect to dominance, you find yourself (along with more than a few others no doubt) at a very similar location with respect to another knowledge plateau - which brings us back to those vocabulary words once again. Perhaps, the vocabulary words represent something far more important than a simple defintion. If so, then focusing on what causes the vocabulary word to materialize might very well lead you to where it is you want to go next. HTH - Spydertrader
As far as I know, a channel consists of AT LEAST three traverses. Any attempt to confine the number of traverses in a channel to ONLY three would mean a prediction trap for me.
Shit! 1055 makes a low which is lower than the low of 1035. So 1035 can't be p2 of the 5 min es level traverse. The am down traverse is ff. Which explains why @ 1130 the sequence is not completed. Shit !!!!!
My understanding is that if both dominant components represent a 5 min ES level traverse - then we have a channel. And once the sequence for the second dom component is completed, a new channel in an opposite direction will form.
I know. Seems rather strange to me. We both seem to possess sufficient cognitive skills and followed the same topic for quite some time now. And yet our interpretation of these concepts is totally different. Having struggled with this whole thing for over a year now and not being able to make it work, I am beginning to keep my mind opening to the possibility that there is nothing there. The human brain is a mysterious thing and has an infinite capacity to fool itself.
Hi romanus. My take on this comes down to two things 1. How wide is your forest (what resolution are you trading on) ? 2. You need a BO of your RTL (Red) in order to form a P2 of the new channel (or at least the first Dom up traverse of that channel)you were "expecting" ? That's my simplified take on it.
I don' t get any of this resolution/fractal stuff. Tapes build traverses and traverses build channels. Beyond that I see no practical utility. 1220 creates a Ve in the blue pt3 up. So i expect an accelerated traverse. I do get one, but then the accel traverse gets a VE itself on 1310. Should I expect another accel traverse or not? Didn't get one, but why? This shit appears quite random to me. Red rtl is adjusted based on a fact the the orange down traverse in the am is faster fractal ( as it seems to me). If you draw that rtl through the 2 bar of the yesterday , you get your BO.
