Why would you say this broadly? I have no pride here or ego worth protecting (this is an internet forum). Every day that I trade, I post my chart to show the progress (or lack thereof) which is occuring so that I may receive feedback to examine areas for continual refinement. My goal is to continue to refine these techniques to the very best of my ability and continue to profit moreso from that effort. I have thanked you for correcting my errors (they were amatuer mistakes, I can admit). I also take no personal offence with your errors (or suggestions). But since this is a collaborative effort among collegues, I am compelled to offer something in return. And not only am I, but others as well who are much more skilled. But when someone (anyone) trys to point them out to you (and they have), you seemingly refuse to take them under advisement and just continue merrily down a path you have chosen, which, judging by many of your suggestions and snippets, is not the path prescribed. I am not trying to be arrogant or embarase you... this is a fact. Surely you have areas which need refining. Now openly seeing this, I might consider asking you if you have studied the quotes you refer to. So I would ask you to perhaps consider that Spyder and others have something to offer to you as well. So again, it is your choice to accept or refuse the collaborative environment in which this thread operates. And of course you can continue to filter as you see fit. But, make no mistake, the proof is in the chart... Why not stop the sillyness and get busy solving the things which remain unknown and/or unclear to you. Why not post a question? Why not post your chart? What are you struggling with? We are all here to learn together.
... sorry ... there must be something in my tone that bothers people on this thread, although it's not my intention ... I just express opinions as politely and as impersonally as I can ... I try to stay on topic: these methods and ways of mastering them ... I avoid posting my charts because they are too messy and don't follow Spydertrader's style closely ... I prefer not to ask questions ... I've made major progresses, and I see things much more clearly and ... profitably now ... my posts express these ... please review tonight's posts and pay attention to the content and tone of mine, yours and lj's, and see how the discussion deviated from the topic and escalated to this point, which, again, was not my intention
For clarity and consistency I try to keep to Spyder's colour convention: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2203447#post2203447 So the answer to your question is "5 min ES traverse". However, I may well have got it wrong.
IMHO you can't ignore the lateral here (14:25 to 15:10) because it colors everything inside it. The Pt3 at 15:00 is legit, but everything until 15:10 is Non Dom (as is 15:15 to 15:20). So whether or not we had increasing volume after a Pt3 was moot b/c we were inside the lateral. I still plead ignorance as to why a Pennant BO (15:25) is considered a return to dominance and we have permission to seek a SOC, but the journey continues. Lastly, you don't want to be in the same boat as me. This little dingy is very unstable and frequently takes on water
