Iterative Refinement

  1. I don't agree, not even a little. If the day started as continuation(2 to 3 of a fft) then you need to finish one sequence before another can begin.

As for "one of those", The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that they are HVST when 2 fractals are competing for dominance.Since 2 fractals were not competing on your chart snippet, I don't believe it could have been "one of those" :)

  2. My interpretation is that from 10:35 EST, the market has only composed 3 of what you call "sub-fractal traverses", with the last as you say "yet to complete". :)

After a debrief and personal scourging (based on my erroneous real-time MADA), I must humbly disagree with this analysis.

Here is my replay and redo of the morning for the 12th.
I am focusing specifically on price moving between points 2 and 3. I am trying to see price moving laterally under decreasing volume, up under decreasing volume or down under decreasing volume, all of this for the same fractal. Anyone care to comment, please feel free.

Thanks, but no thanks... I shall remain focused on the 5M ES ONLY until such time as I can (with certainty) stay on that fractal and consistently trade on that fractal. If one cannot see the sequences unfold on the 5M ES fractal alone, then I believe that one is not applying the techniques which have been painstakingly prescribed in these journals. Or as has been said once or twice... The trader is Missing a Critical Component of Monitoring. I do not believe any amount of additional tools/views will assist. As it has been said (again and again) there are many ways to skin a cat. But I believe Spyder is trying to get people to see the right way.

I also believe that once a trader is successful (i.e.certainty is present all day, every day) on the 5M ES Fractal, Then they have proven the requisite skills are present to jump fractals and/or adopt additional toolsets for finer fractal trading. I am not there yet. In fact I would venture that very few are there yet. Some may think otherwise.

All that is needed to determine where a trader resides is in his/her journey is an annotated chart. The chart is a tell as to where a trader sits with respect to his/her understanding of the concepts presented in these journals. IMHO, there are 2 ways to annotate a chart, the traders way and the markets way. The market is never wrong.

... try to keep an open mind on all of the above and more :)
... regarding this crossover situation I'm as sure as you are ... try to draw volume gaussians as they are and not as you think the price moved ... they should help you see price movement (and correlate with it).
