'By the way, I am PROUD of being a Brazilian and my writings reflect that fact.'

There is everything right in being proud of one's original country but to hate the host country, like SA does the US, is not fair play and pretty rude thankless gesture.

Threats to major powers in the World:

US: financial debt, gung ho war spending and declining young population, republicans, illegal immigration, drugs and another 911 type attack.

EU: Islamicisation, declining local population, meek economic growth, decreasing standards of living

Russia: declining population, NATO expansion eastwards, Islamic threat from south, little developed alternatives to energy/commodity related revenues, Russians themselves are a big threat to their own country.....loot and run away mentality.

China: Communism and its related negatives still there, too much dependence on US exports, inability to thingk progressively.

India: Nuclear war with Pak or China, even peace time environment is in bad shape, Growth 9% Inflation 7% = Net Growth 2% is not impressive, no control on population and pollution.

Brazil: Heavy rooted socialist mentality can quickly undo the free market gains from last 15 years, big gap between rich and poor, the concentration of wealth in few hands does middle and poor class little good.

End conclusion: Brazil is the best shape of all, so instead of whining and protesting in the US, SouthAmerica should immediately move to Brazil :D :D :D :D :D :D

    SouthAmerica: Reply to grendel

I saw the original story on the front page of A Folha de Sao Paulo when Lula made that telephone call to Bush.

    *****

Ivanovich: So why not go back to Brazil?

    *****

SouthAmerica: For the same reason that 5 million Americans whom are living around the world are not coming back to live in the United States.

The Americans are living on other countries, but they still proud on the United States.

    *****

Toc: but to hate the host country, like SA does the US, is not fair play and pretty rude thankless gesture.

SouthAmerica: I don’t hate the United States, in the same way that millions of other people living around the world also don’t hate the US – but most of you including a bunch of members of the US mainstream media can’t grasp one important fact – people don’t hate the United States, they hate the Bush administration and their stupid and incompetent policies.

I am going to waste my time one more time even though I know the information is not going to be grasped by many of you guys – To this day someone like Bill Clinton or Al Gore can travel around the world and most people would receive these guys with open arms and they are highly respected everywhere they go – they are truly Statesman and they represent the best the United States has offer.

On the other hand, it does not matter where George W. Bush goes around the world and represents everything the world hates about the United States. And everybody also that he is a great Jackass.

If you can’t understand that difference then I can’t help you.

trendlover: Tell me honestly why you choose to live in the US and not Brazil?

    *****

SouthAmerica: I already answered that question in detail on this forum.

The short answer is: because of the traffic in Sao Paulo.

TrderZones: SouthAmerica is a fine example of talk much, but say little...

    *****

SouthAmerica: The fact that you can’t grasp most of the issues discussed it has something to do with your comments and points of view.

You should stick with posting pictures of animals, and clowns, since that is the extent of your intellect.

Thermactor: these threads are getting fucking old.

    *****

SouthAmerica: Not if these guys were discussing the subject matter of this thread – the great depression that is here – we just started descending into this new great depression, and if you look around and connect the dots then you will realize what I am talking about.
