I think that Italian bonds are cheap and I would like to trade it. Anyone, how can I trade Italian bonds with IB? 10 year Italian bonds look good to me: http://www.investing.com/rates-bonds/italy-10-year-bond-yield Actually I would like to be long interest rate, so if I understand it well, it means to be short bond. Is there a way to simply trade like that?
Google btp etf there are plenty. Here is a double short btp etf http://funds.ft.com/uk/Tearsheet/Summary?s=BTPS:PAR:EUR
Was that one of the bonds that got Corzine in so much trouble. I know of another guy that was short bonds during endless QE (his initials are JR). I guess he is still waiting.
eurex has another option for italian exposure you might like FBTS is the symbol.. roughly 2.6 years duration They spread well against the italian 10y (FBTP) if you wish for curve function.. However, spreading either to other countries will give you a cheap thrill followed by a spiritual experience devoid of a teacher.
