Hi all, i'm new to this forum. Until recently I've been working at a market maker in derivatives. I've just settled in SF and am currently trading from home. I'm interested in joining one of these prop trading firms in the city/area. However, coming from an environment where automated trading is basic, I wonder how IT services are structured at these places. I imagine technical support is there and should be decent(that's really basic, isn't it?). But what about automation(ie. ad hoc software development)? Anybody that provides researching, perhaps for extra fees?
