It just dawned on me.. why would you use "Hope" as a slogan

  1. Well, isn't "Hope" the last thing you want to use as a campagin slogan?

    I HOPE we create jobs

I HOPE we can reduce the debt

    I HOPE we can prosper

Ummm, hope isn't a strategy. Maybe axelrod is dumber than i thought.

Its funny cause one of the cardinal rules of trading is not to sit on a position and simply hope it gets better, I always wondered how so many people on a trading site could support him and support that slogan.

It's not necessary to use the word to convey the meaning. For example, Romney's debate was full of hope and change appeals. Particularly the former, since the math behind his claims either isn't there, or it's wrong.

  5. Fine by me. Time for change.

    Obama had his chance.

but he doesn't promote hope and change for their own sake. Hope and change is a slogan for losers, it's what you do when you don't have a real plan or you are lazy. Speaking of that, can I bum a toke?
