Yeah, cuz of course minting a "trillion dollar coin" instills such great confidence in the US government and its ability to pay its debts.

 

A trillion dollar coin would be no different than Lincoln printing greenbacks. It would undermine the system we have had in place since the implementation of the Federal Reserve.

 

Now ... it is a clown show?

I mean seriously. In order to preserve US solvency.... let's mint a one-trillion-dollar coin and deposit it.

Even if someone was writing a satire, this idea would be rejected as too absurd even to be funny.

 

This kind of stuff has been trotted out multiple times over the last decade. It's just clickbait in the same way the "debt ceiling" stuff is just political theater.

 

Ok even more of a clown show. No not really though. Nothing beats the Reality Guy, not even Sleepy Joe.

But anyway this Groundhog Day. Keeps happening and happening and will continue to in the future till ...... Why get upset?
