Israelis feel “on their own” under Obama

  1. Okay, so Israelis "feel" on their own.

Should we "feel" sorry for them?

Should we believe they can't take care of themselves, like some infant abandoned at a shopping mall?

  2. Huh? Are you saying the war in Afghanistan was supposed to protect Israel? We invaded Afghanistan not because Taliban was supporting and protecting Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda (does 9/11 ring a bell?), we invaded Afghanistan to protect Israel?

I can kind of understand why Israel haters associate the war in Iraq with Israel, it's wrong and stupid but not surprising given that they blame shark attacks in Egyptian waters on Israel. But if you seriously believe that the war in Afghanistan has anything to do with protecting Israel you should run (not walk but run) to the doctor and have your head examined.

  3. You are suggesting our military presence in that region, Afghanistan and Iraq, with a quick readiness to strike, doesn't help Israel in any way?

  4. duh. one of the reasons binladen used as a justification for 911 was our support if israel policies. is understanding history a lost skill?
i dont hate israel but their constant pissing all over the us while we spend huge amounts of money supporting them is getting tiring.
not long ago we asked them to stop building settlements for a short time in the disputed lands and they gave us the finger.

"Your position against Muslims in Palestine is despicable and disgraceful. America has no shame. ... We believe that the worst thieves in the world today and the worst terrorists are the Americans. Nothing could stop you except perhaps retaliation in kind. We do not have to differentiate between military or civilian. As far as we are concerned, they are all targets, and this is what the fatwah says ... . The fatwah is general (comprehensive) and it includes all those who participate in, or help the Jewish occupiers in killing Muslims. " - Osama bin Laden May 1998

  6. You are not thinking straight, free thinker. :) What you're saying is completely illogical. Regardless of whether Bin Laden used Israel as one of his 50 justifications for 911, the US invasion of Afghanistan did absolutely nothing to help protect Israel, which is what you claimed in your previous post and which is patently wrong. Israel was never threatened by Taliban, I can't even recall an Al-Qaeda attack against Israeli targets, at any case Al-Qaeda is the least of Israel's worries compared to Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Syria. The ousting of Taliban and American troops in Afghanistan added absolutely nothing to Israel's security. Let me also remind you that the invasion of Afghanistan was authorized by the UN, as such it's not even an american war.

Do you actually seriously believe that Bin Laden would not have declared fatwa on the US if we did not support of Israel? Do you think the first gulf war, american support for the Mubarak government (Al Zawahiri's sworn enemy), our troops in muslim countries and our staunch support for the Saudi royal family (Bin Laden's sworn enemy) would not have been good enough reason for his jihad? Come on.

  7. Ask someone politely to help you to process information....

I'm pretty sure there are people within the Republican Party than Huckabee who are more capable of administrating the duties of the Office of the President of the United States of America.

  8. LOL, Of course not, you can't be that clueless, you have to be kidding, right? Take a look at the world map, dude, Afghainstan is thousands of miles away from Israel, our troops in Europe are closer or the same distance from Israel. Try mapquest from Kabul to Tel Aviv :D

Guess what if the idea was to have troops in the region to protect Israel, they could have deployed the troops in [gasp] Israel. LOL, you're a genius! Lest we forget that we already had troops in the region - in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait.

  9. BTW you probably missed this: 11/25/2009: Netanyahu declares 10-month settlement freeze 'to restart peace talks' After cabinet approves freeze, PM calls move 'painful,' urges Palestinians to renew peace talks.

Predictably Israel did stick to their 10 month commitment, predictably the arabs refused to negotiate, predictably when the freeze expired Obama requested to have it extended. Israel said no, what would you do? You are right about one thing though, Israel does not take orders from Washington. It does listen and it does often go to pains to accommodate american requests and american interests...but it has its own problems and interests and it does not take orders from Washington. Do you think it should?

  10. So if the US were to pull out all troops from Afghanistan, Iraq, and gulf waters, it would not impact Israel?
