Correction: the 38 billion is a plan that stretches over several years. Not one year. It, however, does not change the outrageous proportions at all.
You have showed so many times any sensible discussion with you is impossible. You're a fuckin nazi as proven by this thread again. On the subject of aid to Israel i say this. Israel is the only functioning democracy in the ME, where human rights are respected and minorities can live in peace. They are surrounded by savage nations whose purpose it is to exterminate them. We need to support Israel in every which way we can.
Exactly why do 38 billion of American tax payer money have to be spent on another nation when people are apparently suffering to such degrees in the US that they voted in a populist. Everyone seems to be suffering so it is hardly comprehensible how to justify 38 billion in aid payments abroad.
The U.S. provide Israel with about $3.1 Billion a year in aid, Egypt with $1.5 billion, Jordan with $1.0 Billion and other countries in the region with high amounts. The collective money that the U.S. provides in aid to Israel's neighbors is greater than Israel. Basically we are arming one nation in the region to defend itself and paying off the others not to attack it. The US spends $35 billion on foreign aid . . . but where does the money really go? http://mondoweiss.net/2015/11/spends-billion-foreign/
And nobody seems to have a problem with that, I mean among the parties without oil and Jewish interest, mind you. Because the media have zero interest in covering this for obvious reasons
Foreign aid exists to gain leverage over foreign powers. Period. It's just another piece in the pie of Failed Foreign Policy.
I mean I wonder how much money has gone down the drain to support savages in Afghanistan one time on side A then after switching to side B only to reverse course again later. Some conflicts are designed to not ever be touched because they can only be resolved by the directly affiliated parties through near annihilation of the opponent. But that's of course not politically correct to say and goes against the interest of powerful parties. It's ridiculous that costs are cut everywhere and airports and roads and other public services are in dire condition but that the same country has no qualms at transferring a quick 38billion abroad.
Not sure I agree that airports and public services are in dire condition. I've lived in the third world. The US is utopia compared to those places. But foreign aid needs to stop.
