American troops have never been involved in Arab/Israeli wars, there are no american military bases in Israel and the countries have no mutual-defense military treaties requiring them to come to each other's defense in the event of an attack. The US on the other side protects the entire europe (through its membership in NATO) and has military bases in half of european countries, it also has defense pacts with and heavy military presence in South Korea, Japan and probably a few other countries (including arab states).
