Israeli Air Strike on Syria

  1. you are using the Sinara as a reference? Not only you...your JPost is also doing that???
Sinara and Jpost and Haaretz, and CNN and BBC and all other media outlets all over the world. And Syria does not seem to be denying the claim either, does it. BTW what is Syria hiding from the rest of the world, how come it's not telling the world what target Israel attacked? And how come the only country in the world to have condemned the attack is North Korea. Bad bad Israel, the dear leader is displeased... I bet Israel is getting a pat on the back from the EU, UN and likely some arab regimes behind the scenes. In fact Xavier Solana had advance knowledge of the attack.

"Israel lost the war in the first three days," one US military expert said. "If you have that kind of surprise and you have that kind of firepower, you had better win. Otherwise, you're in for the long haul."
No one is claiming that it was a successful war for Israel or that Israel achieved their strategic goals. Nevertheless your previous claim that Israel had its ass handed to them by Hezbollah is simply silly. Hezbollah survived, nothing less and nothing more. It was devastated, it lost a lot of people, weapons, infrastructure, it lost Southern Lebanon, it's afraid to attack Israel again but it was not wiped out. Was it a great victory for Israel - of course not as the objectives of the war were not met. Did Hezbollah hand Israel its ass? Don't make me laugh.

Israel's army chief of staff maintained Friday that nearly 100 guerrillas had been killed in fighting that broke out July 12 when Hezbollah crossed into Israel and captured two Israeli soldiers. But military officials have privately lamented what they called the low number of Hezbollah casualties. Hezbollah itself reports only 11 dead.
Hezbollah's leadership claims that 250 of their fighters were killed in the conflict, while Israel estimated that its forces had killed 600 Hezbollah fighters. In addition, Israel claimed to have the names of 532 dead Hezbollah fighters. A UN official estimated that 500 Hezbollah fighters had been killed, and Lebanese government officials estimated that up to 500 had been killed. A Stratfor report cited "sources in Lebanon" as estimating the Hezbollah death toll at "more than 700... with many more to go", while British military historian John Keegan estimated the figure could be up to 1,000.

  2. Turkey provided Israel with intelligence on Syria prior to last week's alleged IAF flyover into the country, Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida claimed on Thursday.

According to the report, the country had a central role in delivering precise information regarding targets in Syria that were to be hit by Israeli planes. Further, the report claimed that the Israeli pilots were given authorization by the Turkish army to use its airspace in order to carry out the operation.

Sources told Al-Jarida that Turkish intelligence did not coordinate the move with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. "Coordination of the [release of information] occurred far away from the political echelon," it said.

The Israeli and Turkish armies share a strong relationship that has been felt through several joint exercises and weapons sales.

  3. Buddy...Take my word for it. Nothing was hit! It was an attempt by the IAF to test the Syrian defenses and to locate them.

it is up to you to belive what you want. Think about it this way idiot...If Hezbullah launched SAM14 and SAM18 Guided missiles against your jets, what do you think Syria will launch.

    Silly boy!

    Emkum La tentak!!

  6. That's exactly what I was talking about, Hezbollah fired a lot of rockets which caused minor loss of civilian and military lives (43+119), minor property damage and some inconvenience for the Israeli public. Yeah, Hezbollah burned some trees and Israelis had to spend some time in bomb shelters. At the same time Hezbollah lost 500-700 militants, infrastructure, weapons and Southern Lebanon. If that's what passes for "divine victory" in the arab world these days, your expectations are pretty low.

  7. They made a prophet out of some guy who, what, won a handfull of battles-1?2? 3 maybe?
His main victory was the result of supply problems in the opponents army...very far from a divine victory.

  8. I am not into expectations and hypes anymore. Matter of fact, I kept my mouth shut when all of the zionists on this forum talked about whipping Hezbullah off the map. Some of them went as far as claiming that the mighty Israeli army will reach Litani river control its water and strategic location.

Non of the Israeli objectives were achieved. The two monkeys are still with Hezbullah. The fourth strongest army on earth lost more than 100 of its elite soldiers, hundreds of billion of dollars worth of loss (most likely will be compensated by the American tax payer) and not even an inch of Lebanon was stolen beyond a disputed area called Shaba'a farms which was under their control prior to the war.

We are beyond big talk. One thing that is interesting is that, during the war, the Israeli public toned into Nassrallah speeches more than their own governoment's. Why? According to one of their poles, they trusted Nassrallah more than their own government when it came to informing them about the war progress.

The bottom line...David was not beaten by Goliath. David stood up, in honor, and fought. With their own blood, they wrote books in honor.
