The title of the thread claims Israel has a 98% vaccination rate and you claim 60% of the people hospitalized are vaccinated. So what can a reasonable person deduce from that information other than 2% make up 40% of the hospitalizations. So how do we interpret that statistically? For control: if the vaccines were ineffective then 2% unvaccinated would be 2% of the hospitalizations however the 2% unvaccinated are 40% of the hospitalizations. So 40 divided by 2 equals 20. Meaning the unvaccinated are 20 times more likely to be hospitalized for Covid in Israel. Therefore we can conclude vaccinations are 20x more effective in preventing hospitalizations than not being vaccinated.
