Of course there is nothing wrong with binary options. Who claimed so? Is this a fuxxing comedy show?

From the beginning the issue circulated around unregulated market makers of such contracts. Israel is not trying to ban binary option from the world stage. They look to deal with the shady characters in this business.

Why is it so hard to stay on topic in every thread?

This is specifically for international futures exchanges. US residents can still clearly trade FOPs on any CFTC approved US futures exchange. Think about it, did you see JY, GC, SI, ES, etc on that list? No - because it's about intl only.

I highly doubt your claim but we can both check it out. Most futures options as far as I remember , even domestic ones, were off reach last time I checked. So are CFDs, and a number other instruments everyone else but American residents can trade.

But yes the list I posted was specifically on internationals to make a point. At least I can live up to apologize for exaggeration and admitted on that list were 4 contracts that Americans can trade in international markets. I really am doubtful Americans can trade options on ES for example? Maybe you can easily try it out if you are trading out of the US? Maybe I remember incorrectly but point being is that the US , the country that promotes "freedom" everywhere around the world, is the most restrictive and employs the harshest limitations on its own residents. As said I am all for regulations but in the US financial markets there are a lot of stupid and nonsensical ones.

" No CFDs but Oxycontin is OK. "

They're definitely preparing to do that.

But it's a different matter to do this on a global scale.

Tons of traders all throughout the US have been freely trading US futures exchange based options for years and years now. In fact I just traded some ES FOP spreads a couple of hours ago. Your information is simply wrong on this.

What you're thinking about is the prohibition on foreign cash index options by the SEC and futures options on foreign exchanges that haven't been CFTC approved. That is all.

Alright, fair enough. I stand corrected then on US listed futures options. Though it does not defeat the point I made. Nowhere else are people as limited in their investment and trading choices as in the US.

You'll think me slightly pedantic, perhaps, but this is far from true.

There are actually many countries in which investment and trading choices are hugely limited, compared with the US!
