i am just waiting for the conspiracy theorists to show up and claim that the Israeli Mossad was completely aware of the plans for Hamas attack funded by Iran -- but the right-wing Netanyahu decided to simply let the Hamas terrorism proceed, accepting the casualties, because it would allow for a massive retaliation against Hamas and the seizure of all of Gaza by Israel.
