Israel launches "preemptive strikes" against Iran

  1. Yeh well, as I have mentioned several times- and get some flack from my MAGA friends here- I have never been happy about Putin's ability to play Trump and always see that as a factor requiring vigilance. Example, Putin came out not long ago and said he was willing to help broker a deal between Israel and Iran and, my gawd, without even batting an eye Trump jumps right up and says he thinks it is a great idea. Cannot make this shiite up. Little pun there.

Iran needs to watch out for Putin too. He will throw Iran under the bus too if needed. Yes, to your point about "distraction" from Ukraine, but yes also to variations of that....e.g. Putin wants to settle in Ukraine but on very favorable terms so he - backchannel- gets concessions from Iran in return for concessions from Trump in Ukraine.

And since the whole thing is a snakefest, Putin also needs to watch his arse. He needs Trump to help him get a good deal in Ukraine so if Putin looks like he is helping to humiliate Trump in any way over on the Iranian front, Trump has ways of making his life more difficult in Ukraine.

Usually you need to have Turkey involved for the atmospherics to get this reptilian so I expect them to jump in to "help" in some way. FOMO on their part.

  2. To put a finer point on that, I would say that the Iranians have precision guided missiles but don't feel the need to use them instead of the junkier stuff on Israel. If the missile can reach Israel it is good enough.

Iran is stronger militarily than the US warmongers give them credit for. They already have hypersonic ballistic missiles very few countries have. Hypersonic missiles have been launched and slammed into Israel multiple times. How can anyone miss that? Nothing is safe from hypersonic missiles because you cannot stop it and it travels at Mach 6 and higher speeds. Not even an F-35 fighter jet traveling at Mach 1.9 speed catch up to the hypersonic missiles to shoot it down. How can you even match that. That negotiating table looks very good now compared to what is about to happen to US forces and Israel. President Trump listened to the dumb, clown US warmongers and look like a clown now. Sorry, that deserves to be said.

Iran is claiming they have used their hypersonic Fattah-1 missiles on Israel. Of course, they only have a small number of these. And their other claimed hypersonic missiles only exist in photoshop rather than being operational.

The ballistic missiles used on Israel by Iran have guidance systems -- not very good ones but the best stuff they have for the most part.

Looks like we have some Kabuki theater now. Iran fires missiles at a US airbase after warning the US of the incoming attack. There is some backstage diplomacy happening. There is now an agreed truce per President Trump. Iran's nuclear capability intact, Israel destroyed and badly, mangled. Was the US attack on Iran worth it when, they hit empty bunkers, and the attack cost $100 million?

  7. A fair question to ask, considering the times we live in, was this whole thing scripted from the jump? Few hundred killed. Who cares? Certainly not the power brokers. Everyone get a few licks in. Some bullshit treaty is signed, and it's business as usual. Can effectively kicked down the road.
It's either that or Trump is the greatest 3D chess player in history, and that's a bit of a stretch to believe.
A batshit crazy world we're living in.

  10. I wonder if the fact that Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas got their arses whipped and crushed of late was a factor?

You know the saying. "There is only one language that is spoken in the MidEast ie. Power. And Trump and Bibi have been speaking it.

Israel destroyed? When did that happen?
