  2. If this is true then the Iranian regime just signed their own death warrant. It won't be as quick as some believe, we will sustain some losses, but Iran as it is today is done for. Dumb move on their part. I question Trumps motives, but he ain't playin. Zero fucks are given about Iran.
There is the risk of other players coming in, but I think minimal at the moment, unless Israel gets froggy and starts launching nukes.

I wonder if oil is dropping, not because traders think the Straits won't be closed, but because they think this thing could escalate so fast worldwide demand will drop?

The U.S. stock market does not seem to be the least bit concerned.

  5. Which seems quite odd to me.

  6. So far it looks like the Iranian attacks on bases is a coordinated kabuki dance. ie. very carefully orchestrated to provide a face-saving response but not enough damage to kill or significantly damage anything.

That would good if true. The US is prepared to take hits and let it go. I mean no one thinks Iran would not respond. The hope is that it is at a level that can be tolerated rather than escalated.

Probably scenario #1 in regard to oil prices. No closing of strait.

  7. Mercifully, the indexes took a quick ride down which got me out of a short from yesterday that was going against me. I got out pain-free. Then it reverted after I was out from under the mouse trap. Proving once again that there is a God.

I have never heard of a WAR or battle involving missiles or bombs being dropped from a military plane that did not kill or injure civilians even when they were targeting military installations.

It happens and every military in the world accepts that risk.

I agree that is certainly the current thought... but the fact that they are meeting with Putin... he might be egging them on. It's obvious our forces are on super-high alert and prepared to intercept anything sent their way... but to think this is just some impotent face saving volley by Iran... I dunno. They believe in martyrdom over there, there's no telling what they'll pull next. Pretty sure Trump won't do anything if no one gets hurt, but if one those missiles gets thru and we lose some servicemen, well you know what'll happen. The question is, is that what Putin wants?

I know Iran is known for its retaliatory "face saving" strikes, and it sure seems like that is what everyone is betting this is. I hope they're right. I hope Putin isn't sitting back smiling because the U.S. is about to get embroiled in some conflict that will certainly foment division across all political lines in this country which would certainly be a big distraction for his actions in Ukraine.

I think the Iranian missiles don't have the same level of precision as to where they strike.
