Isn't illegal for automakers to receive bailouts without shareholders vote?

  1. No matter how good the gov't intention, its illegal.

As its illegal to wipe out shareholders, now automakers are owned by gov't and unions.

Doesn't matter, this is a totally different, with government intervention and massive amounts of greenbacks you can do what ever you want.
  3. Not in litigious America.

Maybe if the "loan" was illegal, maybe it's also illegal to pay it back?

Wait, maybe this was the plan, after all?
