There is an old story out of the "Spanish Civil War" in the 1930s where the basic point is that you must take sides between good & evil, you can not sit neutral on a fence. If you refuse to side with good then you are supporting evil and you are just as guilty as those who are evil, but unfortunately may suffer the same fate at the good. So are the non-violent cartoonists supporting freedom of speech or the violent murdering Islamic extremists the evil party here? Hopefully you can recognize the difference between good and evil.
Well I can tell you that those who go around insulting others cannot be good, and those who going around killing cannot be good. Therefore the conclusion has to be to eliminate both.
Curiously I have not seen the obligatory "Muslims fear backlash" story yet. Maybe they are writing a brand new one instead of a mild reformat of the same old stuff.
