WE ARE INSTRUCTED TO DO IT BY CHRIST!!

"Love the Lord you're God with all your heart and WORSHIP HIM ONLY!"

Zero acceptance of any worship of any other God.

    Maverick,
That in no way answers any of my questions!!!!
    1. It in no way changes the fact that verses just as barbaric as the koran exist in your bible. You may interpret your bible differently than others, just as many Muslim's most certainly interpret their Koran in a much less hostile way than you do. That doesn't change the fact that barbaric verses exist in both and who are you to judge and call every adherent to that religion "uncivilized" as a result? I'll take your nonanswer as an affirmative, you agree that there are verses just as appalling in your bible as the Koran, you're just saying we should ignore yours and exclude Muslims because of theirs. Got it.
    2. You in no way answered my questions about if we should judge a human on that human's actual beliefs and practices, not the barbaric things that are written in their holy book or practiced by the most extreme members of their religion? The stereotyping you are doing is most emphatically NOT what your Jesus would do. In fact, I kind of wish the whole thing was true so I could see people like you get the big boot into hell for the evil you're propagating on others in the name of your religion. How can you fail to see how much the Jesus that you quote in this very thread would hate your actions of advocating for splitting up families simply because they are Muslim, denying travel to the U.S. for medical treatment that would save a baby's life simply because they are Muslim, allowing refugees to escape threats against their lives (in many cases because they're not considered good enough Muslims) just because they're Muslims. You call that "turning the other cheek"!
    3. I'm guessing you're saying the pure evil that your god does in the old testament is all OK because the "New Covenant" is better/superior to the old? So you admit that the god you worship once did horrible, barbaric, and under all current moral standards evil things, but he's still not only OK but perfect, cause we're under a new contract? I understand, you don't want to see the absurdity in that so you wave your hands around with a bunch of this "new covenant" mumbo jumbo and try to ignore it in hopes it will go away. It's your prerogative to remain ignorant. But again, as Jesus said, "You hypocrite!" Don't go around calling someone "uncivilized" because you cherry picked a verse from their holy book no more crazy than many in yours.

Just to emphasize for you Maverick because OddTrader's response was oddly formatted, the statistic you quoted is complete and utter bullshit. Again, wwjd? Make up lies to advance a political agenda to cause real hurt in the lives of real people in his name? I think Matthew 7:5 is becoming my favorite verse, so again I'll quote your bible to you, your "new covenant" in fact:

    "You hypocrite!"

I gotta say that overall you're making my argument that fundamentalist christian belief is just as abhorrent and "uncivilized" as fundamentalist muslim belief for me!

Heaven is great and happy happy joy joy and all. I'm talking about bashing in your kid's head with a rock because he disobeyed you here on earth. That's real shit, it matters, not least of all to the kid, and you're accountable for it. Your religion calls for it in no uncertain terms. Kids had their heads bashed in with rocks because of it. That happened, that's evil, it matters not if you haven't done it lately. If your idea of a happy heaven means we can just ignore that, and even say they somehow deserved it because they were doing evil, and worship the deity responsible, you're pretty messed up, that's all I can say. Messed up and "uncivilized" in a way that no Muslim I've known is. You perhaps maybe, just maybe, can understand why the rest of us take umbrage when you tell us you're moral and we're amoral, when our moral code never would call for bashing in anyone's head let alone your own child's under any circumstances, while yours once did for the horrible crime of disobedience, but since it doesn't anymore you're the good one and we're sinners. Gotcha.
I'm pretty appalled that you feel you can and should discriminate against everyone you feel isn't going to eventually join you in heaven. Thankfully the founders recognized the horrific consequences of that line of thinking, which will eventually consume even you when the powers at the moment determine that you aren't someone who's going to join them in their version of heaven. Ironic that you advocate for the kind of theocracy we only currently see in the Muslim world, and ironic that you call for a radical, unamerican dystopia while none of the Muslims I know do. Again, thanks for making my point for me.

You can worship whoever you want, I could really give a crap what you do in your personal time. Pretty sure it doesn't say anywhere "ban everyone of a different religion" in that verse, or did I miss that part? Amazing how you can claim that you literally interpret every verse of the bible but then ignore half of it and completely fabricate what the rest tells you to do into an evil version that is the exact opposite of what your jesus preached.

  8. Many believers of Jesus actually do not believe the exactly same God Jesus believed!? Please take time to think about it, assuming you understand the difference.

  9. 4. What would you do with the 750,000 Muslims (recently arrived?) in the US? To love them, as Jesus commented? Or to dislike them?

    5. What would Jesus do about it?
