I dont know, it was my (probably) limited understanding, that most of the kamikaze pilots never shared the fact with their families..........and that many pilots were labelled kamikaze, due just to all out attack, certainly in the earlier stages of the pacific war-ie, their werent ACTUALLY that many kamikaze "suicide" pilots, altogether, the term described a mental approach to an attack, rather than a bomb laden plane, headed with certainty toward the officers bridge. Im not sure how that translates to islam, but it appears many muslim soldiers through history, were in fact prevented from retreat, in fact were castigated and stoned if they fell back "behind the lines" if you like-by their WIVES. According to julias ceasar, many germanic tribes did much the same thing; Just goes to show, in some circumstances, anything is better than a nut-so wife.
