I like your thought process. I also was looking at cars back when I couldn't afford them, I looked at what I couldn't afford and aimed for that number. But when I could afford them, instead of buying one I started looking at houses. Like someone once said, it's about the ability, not the object.

You must have one giant account to rely on such returns. I wouldn't pay too much attention on declining returns, it usually is a poor sign of performance. You probably have bullish bias that's why the returns are declining, therefore you might have zero returns during bear markets - and that's not the worst thing.

  3. Pardon me d08,
    Apologies for ruffling your feathers.
I'm poor, work for a c***sucker, trying to better myself and you correct me.
Yes, my work style stifles my progress in trading. Do not want to read how some other poor stiff made 17% and claims his lifestyle gets in the way...that is blah, blah, blah at it's best.

  4. You can always live under a bridge, have a huge bank account, then die. But heck, you died rich.

    Moronic!

Problem with most people is, they start spending way way too early. If you spend all your profits, you will never make it. If you have millions, it's fine to spend a little on yourself but most are already buying nice cars when reaching a few hundred Ks.

  7. It is amazing how I have made it on so little, yet someone gripe about profit.
All I can do is take care of myself.

The only time in my life I have lived in huge house was when I was in my 30s and bought half done house from builder who was going bellyup, between working for gov't nights, trading mornings and working on that house, took me two beeping years to build it all up to sell it, needed a roadmap to find all the rooms. I have never wanted huge anything, didn't grew up that way, no fancy cars unless one considers the 1910 Ford I went to church this morning. Took me four years to find parts.

Well, there are those who complain about their situation and whine about others correcting them, instead of pulling up your pants and getting a 2nd and 3rd job to get out of the situation you are in and when you have time, back test chart patterns. Most of us on this forum started hard, and worked our asses off to do better for ourselves and our families. There are people who do and others that do little.

How many in this forum worked full time, went to school full time, had a family and traded or studied trading during those years. Great country to live in to have opportunities to do this.
