Is trading sexualy inviting...

  1. Some women who trade for a living like the spread to be as small as possible, you know. :)

  3. in my experience , i have found that saying I am a "trader" has never appealed to any woman, they might say wow how interesting or whatever, but women are NOT interested in that profession. Not at all. I thought trader sounded real cool BUT NO! (unless maybe in London or NYC i guess but then they think you are a GS trader) You might as well say you are a bartender or a teacher, they would find you more cool. Also you have to back it up, if you say I am trader in people's mind you have lots of money, sportscar on the parking lot, if not you probably fall into the loser category. Don't say you are a trader or say it and then change subject immediately, really don't bring it up or brag about it. if you want to have a good chance to get laid without having to wait until she is drunk

  4. As people will easily see (especially given some of the previous female comments in this thread), your comment demonstrates only your limited range of experience with women. The irony is that you could hardly be more mistaken.

  5. ahaha , you don't know me man
I have lived in places where I could approach and meet 3+ women per day

if you think bragging about being a trader makes you attractive then keep it up maybe you are just going after a certain kind of byatches, obviously chicks hanging out on here DO have an interest in trading

Oh, as one lady (swaptions trader, if i recall correctly) in Citi used to say "first we cross em, then we spread em". Truly, the words to live by.

  7. I couldn't agree more. I got money and I'm dating girls with none at all (students) and THEY are buying ME dinner. Spending money on girls is for chumps and sends the wrong message that you are desperate for their attention. I'm not a total ass, I do buy them dinner sometimes but that's long after we've been dating a while.

  8. Still, I'm beginning to understand your problems a little. The ability to differentiate between women and men would perhaps be a useful one for you to develop. But that requires either interpreting what people say, spotting their first name or even (heaven forbid!) reading the earlier parts of the thread before commenting, and presumably none of these is your forte. But never mind - I'm sure your powers of observation with charts are better than this lamentable demonstration.

There are two generalizations that I think one can safely make about women: 1) They like a man who has a mission/passion in life. and 2) They don't like one who still lives with his mother.

  10. It don't matter if you tell them you're a trader or not. If you make 8 to 10 K a daw or even a week. They won't give a damn what you do.
