  4. The right question:

  5. The connotation of "gambling" is ambiguous. It can mean a profession as well as a mental defect. The two are at the extreme of human behavior spectrum.

    If you can gamble in the first sense, you are among the best traders;
    If you gamble in the second sense, you are an average losing trader.

    Gamble like this guy:

  6. NOT!

    Only the mentally deficient see "Trading = Gambling".

    In gambling, the player is SUPPOSED TO LOSE. (How else could the house afford to build casinos?). And there is NOTHING the player can do to put the odds of winning in his favor... except maybe counting cards in Black Jack, perhaps roulette, and poker. Texas Supreme Court once ruled, "poker is not gambling, but rather a game of skill". Gamblers seek the thrill of "beating the odds which are stacked against them".

    In trading, you can make it that you are SUPPOSED TO WIN.. by what you know and how you behave.

  7. So Casinos are "not Gambling" ?

  8. The CASINO isn't "gambling"... odds are in its favor all around. They're not concerned about one play or all the plays a gambler makes in one trip to Vegas. The casino KNOWS they will win over the long haul as the odds are in their favor with every game... other than card counters in Black Jack... which if they suspect you're doing, they kindly ask you to leave.

    To the Casino, "gambling" is like mining... process the ore, make the money.

  9. So let me relentlessly be clear... Card counters in BlackJack are "not gambling" right?
