Trading can be "not gambling" when the sting of risk and consequence is removed, regardless of the knowledge of outcome.
Here's one. <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1291652> See also: GROW, IAAC, NVEC, YM, ER2, ES, EUR/USD Any market, Any timeframe (provided sufficient liqudity exists). - Spydertrader
For what its worth...I watched live on the phone SpyderTrader make 72 PIPS in the EUR/USD in maybe two hours ...I just got off the phone with him. I wished I had taped the conversation.... I have two pages of notes...I am practicing in Retail Spot forex for a while... I swear to you it is the truth...I had not even considered his way to view the market...There is the sprinkling of Hershey with the SpyderTrader observances... I watched him follow price and reverse twice...on the 5 minute bars. I am embarrassed...you truly must open your mind and am one stubborn fool. I think I gave up two or three times tonight... Michael, Do not even attempt the spot market outside of hours or it will crush you. The caveat to FTT trading is liquidity.
Do you mean that it would be trading NOT in a "not gambling" way, because I am inexperienced in this new way to think? I watched Todd bank 72 PIPS? I want to trade longer time frames with it. I will not go live with it yet, until I master it and I have permission to share it with everybody. I must make sure with Jack first, however. I will try to complicate it...but it really is surprisingly simple if you do not place obsticles in your way. I will tell you, I yelled at Todd... Joab your fortunate as I understand you learned this in 7 hours...I am not that gifted. Seriously! I must remove some obsticles first, if I am to grow, where you are free... Folks do not fight the price...it will win. Simply react to it. Some say react to what it is telling you..but that would assume too much...just fricken react to it, ok? You can simply look at NOW and begin. Don't be scared. Michael B.
See atached if you want to see some comments on the conventional (gambling) and an alternative (pool extraction).
Jack, As usual you find an already semantically challenged subject and challenge us some more to understand it .... nice article thanks for sharing
Jack if I only knew how to draw channels with points one two and three... I have a learning disability and I am not a visual person... Is there a way to spreadsheet the SpyderHershey method? I do not speak the same language as Todd, which I mean no disrespect to. Michael B.
