  2. agreed!
Trading is another activity that involves risk like walking out to your car when its hailing ice cubes or...asking your girlfriends mother if she likes anal.

Trading has its risks but I think those risks can be mananged and, if you know what you are doing, its not gambling.

  5. lol, i would argue that a gambler does not, this is one of the characteristics of a gambler. gambling implies you are taking more risk than what is tolerable for your "Condition", therefore, if you were managing risk, your risk would be tolerable and you would not be gambling. so you cannot be a gambler and manage risk at the same time...Electric you seem bored 2night.

  8. Electric i think you're being a bit trite.

For all your 'not gambling' advocacy whether it be as a true believer or simply playing devil's advocate...is for nought.

You can NEVER eliminate risk, sorry that's the bottom line. You seem to want to continue arguing semantics and the 'what if'...which is fine as you are doing a good job of promoting awareness, interest and 'thinking outside the box.' These forums thank you for that.

But in the end i think it's an excercise of 'did the chicken lay the egg or did the egg hatch the chicken.' There is no right or wrong, simply an excercise in critical thinking which, imho, has outlasted its purpose.

I say this in the most supportive way as i've gleaned alot of knowledge from your postings but i feel like we are running around in circles at this point.

Thank you for your contributions...best of luck to you and your endeavors. Have a good night.

  9. That interpretation is strictly your own. Look it up. As for your premise that gamblers, by definition, do not manage risk, are you suggesting that world class poker players are always just taking flyers?

You and Electric should consider a nice and safe investment in a dictionary. :D

As an aside, ES, you're just trying to get this thread to 100 pages, aren't you? :)
