Thanks for pointing out the $VOLQ to me, but I wish it would print in the index panel and can't see how to make that happen so far.
The VIX works along side the NDX enough.. VOLQ would be good to have too. But I use the VIX more as a "fear index" in general. And with this style it works great that way.
How much does your trading platform, (Medved?) cost you? ... on the dashboard wish for $VOLQ, what if you submit your thoughts to the proper channels within your provider so they can advise on how to do, or if you think it worthy would it be worth requesting they consider crafting it into their code.
I'm afraid I bother Jerry enough.... Wonderful people and wonderful platform. Medved Trader, it is not real expensive, I pay $24 a month, but the free version works just as well. Download it and you get everything I'm using without paying. I just felt it my duty to pay for the software after years of using it without paying. There are some limitations to the free version but I made this strategy and used it to turn 3k on the simulator called Think or Swim, trying out this method on the free version of Medved for the charting. Only when I went into using real dollars.. I started the paid subscription out of thankfulness for such a great platform. They used to make Quote Tracker, which is the platform I first started out on and then thankfully they created Medved Trader after TD Ameritrade bought QT and then upset everyone by stopping support for it.
See what I'm talking about? This is a good example: As long as that line in the NDX is going up so will the candles, but should it straighten out and really climb without that slight dent, that will be a much stronger move up to watch out for. What you see in the index panel precedes the 1 minute candle, 90% of the time. You have a little bit of time to see what is going on. Also, notice how the VIX (at least today) is almost an inverse of the NDX.
Trading is easy, you just need to the opposite of 90% of the people are doing. For example 90% of people are selling BTC now, so I am buying and I heard Barron is buying. When it hits around $ 100,000 I will be selling while you will finally be buying thinking it will go to $ 500,000.
Start trading only after studying the theory! This is really very important, as many rely on luck. Read a lot of literature for beginners. For example https://www.beverlyhillsmagazine.com/want-to-trade-in-forex-heres-how/ There are many similar articles. Choose only reliable sources
