Maybe if you compressed the chart more? lol Krikey, mark your chart if ya want but to trade a 1m or 30sec chart that uptight crap ain't gonna fly for most traders.
You mean use a higher time frame? Intraday for me that doesn't make sense. Higher time frame for swings I want to hold for longer makes sense.
What the hell is that? Looks like a 40 point range on ES and you have all those bars? What is that, 30 second charts? Why so many bars! I recognize that pattern on the right side though. That was Friday's action during RTH. Your charts are fugly man.
It takes a while to figure out what works for you, everyone can find a niche I think with enough persistence and money management and thankfully with real time simulators.
Funny story. Apparently my mom and dad (who met when they were in high school,) were hanging out one day, and my dad who was a quiet person just suddenly blurted out "I feel open to attack". My mom said she was feeling the exact same thing at that moment, and then started dating, and had me as a result. So NOW how do you feel about my comment on your charts? Hehe. Come Monday I will try to remember to post a comparison chart with my Renkos to your freaky time charts for that timeframe. If I forget, remind me. That way you will not feel so attacked. You will just see more clearly. Yes? Hehe
Some methods take longer than others. e.g. to be successful artistic trader is often said on this very venue to take ten years. Big fan of rules based trading meself, lol. Lotsa people give it lip service but when it comes down to it the 5 out of 100 figure stated by the old timer sounds about right to me. How bout you?
Yes, I agree, when they say stick to your strategy. There is always the simulator to experiment with refining or altering according to the way the market changes and if that works out well time after time, it can become a new strategy with real money. I was really surprised to find that the way the Think or Swim simulator fills and the action is just about the same as in RL. Fills are not at the mark as in the simulator but I haven't noticed much difference when it comes to scalping with market orders the way I am in RL. Even slippage seems the same. That simulator is so good, I wonder how it is coded to mirror the market with fills and the action. Do they mirror the market somehow for the simulator?
