And how does this help you? Volume is a funny thing. The moves overnight can be larger than even the moves during RTH on 1/5 the volume. So how important is volume really then? And more important, how is all of this helping with your trades? I always like to ask what a person's trade stats are when they want to share their knowledge. Some people have a ton of indicators and barely squeeze out a profit or can only manage a 50% winrate. So it tells me that more info is not always better.
Buyers and sellers of course. Someone has to pay the Ask for it to go higher, or hit the bid for it to go lower. But sigh.... you're making this painfully more complicated for a guy who keeps wanting to keep it simple and says its easy.
You have to consider what is happening tonight through the pre-morning US session. Nothing special tonight, but early tomorrow morning are EU projections. That could be big. And we need to see the 8PM to 4AM reaction to the Fed meeting minutes. That could be huge as well. I would expect large moves throughout the night, biased to the upside considering the US market reaction to the minutes today. So we are at 3850 right now. Folks calling for 3815? I dunno' man. I feel we breach 3900 by tomorrow morning RTH.
I compare Globex volume with previous Globex session volume. Same for RTH. As well as volume at time of day (minute bars) against 20 days average for again that particular minute. My win rate is about 50/50 but Avg winner is 3 times greater than avg loser. Always like to like.
