Is Tom Hougaard the real deal?

Discussion in 'Educational Resources' started by BartSimpson, Apr 11, 2023.

  1. He's probably done it a 1000 times and doesn't feel uneasy at all anymore because he knows he can turn a profit. Where did you find this person? In the real world? Via screen sharing? How does one meet someone like this?

Just send him an email, Tom is open to everyone,
    and hides nothing.

    That was actually on YouTube,
    Futex live trading sessions.

Unfortunately I never met another trader IRL

Ask him to give you the rules for one of his setups WITH his criteria that trigger a buy or sell to enter.
Be specific and see if he will be too.

Setups are all over the internet. Falling into youtube vids before you zero in on
specific methods is imho a yuge time waster.

Here's a little piece that demonstrates how easy it is for tradertom to supply you
with the a documented setup if he wants to.
This links to a setup that has the rules spelled out simple as can be,
    picture and all.
Does it work? Same as any other setup, that's for you to determine by doing your stats.

  7. If you ask him he tells you to "go view the archive". In the archive are hundreds of videos, pictures, and audio files, that are all slow as hell to go through because he never seems to get to the point.

I would think that he could just, off the top of his head, give his entry/exit conditions. He's very hard to listen to because he speaks at a very slow pace, never seems to get to the point, and is always talking about psychology rather than how to actually trade the damn markets.

  8. Thanks for this. You're right, it took you, what, all of about 5 minutes to make this? Anyone worth their weight would be able to produce an easy to follow example, so if he's not able, I'm sure he's a fraud.

His setups are usually not marked up at all, just show random pictures of charts, and it's hard to make heads or tails of what he is trying to teach because there is no context.

For example, how is this helpful? He explains where he might buy but there is zero explanation that goes into why:

  9. Then he will post something like this, which might be useful, but he doesn't show any hard data and we have to take his word for it:

I get the feeling that he's been trading for years, has seen a bunch of things, and kind of has an idea of what the market will do next, but is unable to teach it to other people. It seems like he just trades this stuff and lets people in on what he is doing but can't teach it for shit.

  10. What pattern is he even talking about?
