Is Tom Hougaard the real deal?

Discussion in 'Educational Resources' started by BartSimpson, Apr 11, 2023.

  1. I wish I knew more but I don't. I signed up last week, but he was away on holiday. He came back this week but placed only one trade so far, and didn't mention where he took it off.

I did some research on him, bought his book, but still don't know much about the guy so I can't really comment. Something just feels "off".

If it feels "off", it is off. Trust your intuition. It is a primal defense mechanism.

Tom H trades cash market major index CFDs (Dow, Nasdaq, DAX, FTSE) at TD365. Yeah, he's for real. Free Telegram channel. He's got 0.5 to 2 second latency on his audio if you connect to his website for it instead of using Telegram audio which can be up to 10 secs latency.

He uses price action with no indicators, primarily 10 and 15 min charts for entry decisions. He never adds to a losing position and always takes his predefined stops. Makes between 1-2 million British Pounds a year with 150-200 pounds per point for sizing.

More power to him. I can't find fault with the man in what he tries to do to help other struggling traders.

Did you see him take the trade as he did it?
Did you get a screenshot of what he was looking at at entry time?

    Listened to him once.

He was working in a brokerage firm.
Most of the clients were retail traders / losers.

The theme is always the same …
Cut your loss short and let your profit run.

That’s why the best losers win.
Because the asymmetries are working for you.

I don’t remember about his specific method.

    I like that part... lol

The first time I saw a professional in action,
I was more greedy / fearful about his positions,
Than he actually was about his own business .

He was even displaying his heart rate,
Mine gone through the roof. His was flat lined.

    That’s professional as fuck.
To stay calm, controlled and confident.

    Eye opening.

  10. He streams audio but not video, so you can hear him talk but not see him, his screen, or how he places trades.

Here is what he posted, in order, in his channel. He did not post an end-of-trade chart and abruptly left the stream after 54 minutes or so, so I'm not sure if the trade is still on or not:
