Is this the most volatile market ever? I think so.

Good performance for me thus far but the events are far from over, I expect a lot more oddities.
I'm fully automated but in this environment, I prefer to watch everything closely. Circuit breakers and quick margin changes can bring on unexpected events. I also don't have a model to trade out of margin violations, I'm still at the mercy of IB's auto-liquidation which targets me every once in a while.

  2. Glad to hear that.

I was particularly interested since you're automated and this market is far from normal.

2008-9 seemed more panicky due to the unknown becoming known....widespread fraud with staggering numbers from origination to secrutitization multiplied 100times by swaps.

Corona virus is the known becoming more unknown lol.

Both have panic, both have huge volatility but 2008/9 saw implosions yet to unfold with corona.

In 2008 we had bank runs as they started dropping like flies

Right now all we have are grocery store runs on toilet paper due to idiots

  5. Is that all you're having in the US right now?

If so, you're lagging Europe big time.
