Seems like a great exit to me, considering AMZN was below early 2000 levels until 07 and didn't break the dotcom bubble highs until 2010. You could be sitting on a 10x gain from buying as late as 2012...
I recon the convert would would go up at 4 handle coupon if it's gonna be a 5 year structure with a 120 strike (and I envy the corporate desk that will get the call spread hedge, that's gonna be juicy). In fact, I'll ask tomorrow where the syndicate is pricing it. PS. 8.5% yield? it was barely 8.25 yesterday (or when was it you signalled me) - for sure it went way tighter today given that stock is up 4%.
Yeah, am referring to a post from last week after earnings. Cornholio stated the bonds were trading an "8.5 spread" and I corrected to 8.5% yield.
There are various ways of shorting TSLA. some shorted it somewhere below the 370 resistance level. some shorted it after it broke the 245 support level. those who shorted earlier (below 370 resistance level) should be very happy.
In general, people who sold something high (or bought something cheap) tend to be happier than the ones that did the opposite.
not only are we in the age of smart autos but also smart highways, Tesla has so much potential in this area...
Tesla is cheating with Model 3 that barely has any range to drive. Special "model" to catch tax incentives paid by Canada. The original model 3 is too expensive for this tax incentive, so they made a cheaper version without almost any driving range. Take out a big chunk of the battery and problem is solved. This version is for people who drive only around the church of their village. But not too many times or the battery is empty... https://www.tesla.com/en_CA/support/incentives?redirect=no
