Even the oil I'm gonna use can cause them to deny warranty on the engine so, who cares at the point. Add the Cobb AP, no way they'll take care of anything.
Dude, do it! I don't drive it every day. I put about 5-6K on it. Mostly trips to SF. No clutch. The sound is nuts, but it's the cost of a Honda Fit. Matching revs on the downshifts is where it takes some time. I won't try to talk you out of it. It's sick AF and you'll go through tires every few months.
LOL... very tempting. That guy Dave at rallispec knows his stuff. Not too far to get to from me also.
I can't recall which ratios I have, but it's fun. I used to drag in Reno but they'll impound your car until the court date. Just listening to it in 2nd at 50mph is worth the price. Wife can't drive it which is a plus.
It's a good car theft deterrent too. I recall reading that only 18% of Americans know how to drive with a manual transmission (*). Apparently, the percentage of manual transmissions in new cars is under 5%. * probably that's a bit offer side, as any flattering self-reported statistic like net worth or penis length - my guess would be 10ish percent at most
Wow, didn't realize. The car is a beast in the snow. Almost bought a second stock STI but the wife won't go back to a 6MT.
We already ran out of oil once. Whale oil. First of all drilling technology is ever evolving. By the time we run out of oil there will be something else available. All this renewable bs is just federal dollar grab. I am all for alternative energy. But let the free market do its work. If wind solar whatever can compete without gov hand outs then all the better.
