The 9:30 and onward candles have much greater volume than the premarket, doesn't that make them have more weight to their direction?
Risepoint1879, Just because there is greater volume does not mean there will have greater direction. Sometimes after 9:30 the bars have no directions, back and forward. 8:30 to 9:30 is valid trading times if there is a trader setup present. To me, its all about looking for the opportunity to make money. And sometimes pre market present those opportunities. You just have to watch the chart to see.
